As reported in the Portland Press Herald, Portland officials are recommending that a 200-bed homeless service center be built on a parcel of city-owned land at the Barron Center campus on Brighton Avenue.
There is a Health and Human Services and Public Safety committee meeting on Tuesday June 26 from 5:30 – 8 in
Room 24 (basement) Room Change: this meeting has been moved to Council Chambers on the Second Floor – of City Hall for a preliminary discussion. This meeting is open to the public.
A public hearing on the recommendation has been scheduled for July 10 from 5:30 – 8 in room 209, City Hall.
