Following the Health and Recreation meeting in March,  and at the request of Councilor Waxman, DCNA representatives met with the Brentwood Parcel Addendum applicant, Mike Bobinsky, as Head of the Department of Public Services, and representatives from Friends of Evergreen.  There will be follow up Health and Recreation meeting this Tuesday, May 17 at 5:00 pm at City Hall. Although Councilor Waxman does not want to take public comment at this meeting, everyone is welcome to attend – and we hope you can be there to keep this process as public and inclusive as it can be.

Click here to read the Department of Public Services’ recommendation on the Brentwood Parcel, which recognizes the value of the Brentwood Farms Community Garden until such time that the land is needed for cemetery use. Mr. Bobinsky does recommend the incorporation of the Brentwood Parcel Addendum to the Master Plan, with the provision that the Community Garden use continues for the duration of Phase Two of that plan.
